Where are my documents stored?
On dedicated, access-controlled infrastructure operated by Wyrefront, kept in your deployment region and encrypted at rest. Your documents are never shared with third parties.
Does OpenAI, ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini see my documents?
No. Answers are generated on Wyrefront’s own dedicated AI infrastructure. Your documents and questions are not sent to public AI vendors and are never used to train their models.
Can Wyrefront run privately?
Yes. Wyrefront offers dedicated, single-tenant private deployments so your data and AI run on infrastructure you control.
Can Wyrefront run on-premise?
On-premise and air-gapped deployment options are available for enterprise customers. Talk to us about your requirements.
Can I use my own AI model?
Enterprise deployments can run a dedicated model. If you have a preferred or in-house model, talk to us about options.
Can it search scanned PDFs?
Yes. Built-in OCR reads scanned PDFs and images so even paper-era documents become searchable.
Does it support OCR?
Yes. Scanned documents and images are run through OCR during indexing.
Can it search email attachments?
Yes. Emails and their attachments can be uploaded or connected and searched alongside your other documents.
Can it connect to SharePoint or Google Drive?
SharePoint and OneDrive connections are available today. Google Drive, Dropbox, and Box are rolling out. You can also upload directly at any time.
Can users only see documents they are allowed to access?
Yes. Role-based access control means each user only sees the documents they’re permitted to access.
Does Wyrefront provide citations?
Yes. Every answer links back to the original source document, section, and page so you can verify it.
What happens if the AI is unsure?
Wyrefront is grounded in your documents. If it can’t find a confident, source-backed answer, it tells you rather than guessing.
Can I upload accounting documents?
Yes — invoices, statements, ledgers, tax documents and more. Wyrefront is widely used for accounting document search.
Can I upload legal contracts?
Yes. Contracts are a core use case — search, summarise, and compare clauses across many agreements.
Can I search across multiple companies?
Yes. You can organise documents by entity or workspace, and each tenant’s data stays isolated.
Is there an audit trail?
Yes. Access and changes are recorded for compliance and review.
How long does setup take?
You can be asking questions in minutes by uploading or connecting documents. Founding partners receive hands-on, white-glove setup.
What file types are supported?
PDFs, Word, Excel, text files, emails, and scanned documents/images (via OCR), among others.
Can Wyrefront be used by non-technical staff?
Yes. Anyone can ask questions in plain English — no query syntax, keywords, or training required.
How is Wyrefront different from ChatGPT or Copilot?
Wyrefront searches your own business documents privately, returns answers with citations to the source files, and enforces role-based access — without sending sensitive data to public AI tools.
